Mystical Truths

Your Mind Is Creating Your World Right Now, Whether You're Paying Attention Or Not

Rebecca Troup Season 4 Episode 3

What if your casual, seemingly insignificant thoughts were actually shaping your reality right now? Rebecca returns to explore the profound truth about how our moment-to-moment thinking patterns literally create our world—whether we're paying attention or not.

Drawing from teachings by Abraham-Hicks and Neville Goddard, Rebecca reveals the science behind manifestation: just 17 seconds of focused thought begins a creative process, and after only 68 seconds, our thoughts begin transforming into physical reality. This isn't just theoretical—it's happening constantly as we go about our days.

Most revelatory is the understanding that what we desire already exists vibrationally—it simply hasn't manifested in our physical experience yet. Rebecca shares practical guidance for resonating with our desires: "You have to believe it before you'll see it," reversing the common misconception that seeing is believing.

Try a three-day challenge: focus predominantly on positive thoughts about one specific area of your life. The key? Make it playful rather than serious—it works best when approaching it with lightness rather than rigid effort.

Speaker 1:

Hey everyone, it's Rebecca. It's been a little while. My office slash studio got a little too chilly over this Pennsylvania winter so I had to stop using it for a little while, but it was really good timing. I had a little bit too much on my plate, so it freed me up and so here we are. I'm really glad you're here.

Speaker 1:

I wanted to share some information with you about the immense power of our thoughts, and I know I've covered things about our thoughts and how they create before, but I've noticed that we are, we're good at getting this intellectually, but often we're not really. It's not hard, it's just that we're so conditioned otherwise that it can be a thing for us to stumble over actually applying this and making it something that is our everyday, doable way to live. So, of all the things that we could talk about, this is the most valuable, and I'm not claiming to be a master at this. We teach what we most want to learn right, and so I'm always learning and expanding and finding new ways that I have not been applying this, that I can now apply it. So two points I wanted to make. One is our moment to moment. Thoughts really, really count because they create, and even if you've heard that before, stick with me here, because there's a deeper essence to this that we really need to pay attention to in order to get the benefit. The second point I'll make here is that there's really no difference between how you're resonating and what you're attracting, because I hear people say, well, I want to try to attract better, I want to get better at attracting. We're already good at it because we're already doing it but understanding, resonating and attraction is key.

Speaker 1:

So back to number one your moment-to-moment thoughts and beliefs are a really big deal, because they literally become your world. You know, in Abraham Hicks' teachings, abraham says when we think any thought for 17 seconds 16 to 17 seconds another thought like it starts to form, and when we keep that momentum for 68 seconds just a little over a minute things in our world are now shifting and changing. The thoughts are starting to become things. So just that little, teeny bit of time and this is what I want to draw attention to here, because of course, we're thinking all the time so, for 68 seconds, as you get out of bed in the morning and make your way, say, to the bathroom, what thoughts are rolling through your mind that you're not even paying attention to, because they count. They're making things happen, sleep. All of that stuff that's rolling through our minds, whether we're saying it, verbalizing it or not, counts. So be easy about this, but pay attention to what's mindlessly going through your mind throughout your day, because I've been doing this for a while and when I first started doing it, I caught myself thinking thoughts that were not helpful and that were not creating well for me. But you know, they're just the thoughts you don't really pay attention to as you're walking through a store, as you're cooking your dinner, even the things that we joke about. They may be funny, but they may not be helping what we are actually hauling in to our real experience. We're going to get some essence of that stuff.

Speaker 1:

So are you thinking about, maybe, traffic before you even leave your house? Are you expecting the traffic dreading it? Are you thinking about how you're aging just as you walk across a room, especially maybe when you get up in the morning, or when you look in a mirror? What's the story you're telling yourself there? Will you find yourself? If you pay attention for a little while, will you find yourself thinking more about problems than solutions, because you know we have to point that stuff out right? No, we really don't. Not for more than a second or two. Of course we're going to see a problem, but we have to get off of it because the solution isn't in the same vibrational space.

Speaker 1:

Are you thinking about, or do you tend to think about, what could go wrong? This is a common one for people. People are very quick to point out what could not work out or what could go wrong, because you know we should be careful. Which is not helping, it's not helping. Do you have a tendency to look at what already is seemingly wrong? Do you point out the things that aren't going well about your day? Do you tell people about them? Or do you tell them about the good things that happened when you come home from work or an experience? Do you pick up the phone? Do you talk to somebody at your home and tell them about all the things that didn't go right that day? Or is it your tendency to say, oh, let me tell you about this, this was great, this worked out, that went really well.

Speaker 1:

Most people have been taught, conditioned, to be complainers or to be regurgitators of what's not working out, what's not going well. Are you dreading winter or a humid summer before it even gets here? Have you been taught to live by Murphy's Law, which means the grass is greener on the other side or that the other shoe is always going to drop? Just wait for it, because you know things can't just keep working out well. Something has to go wrong at some point. Do you watch your physical body in a way that you're watching for things to go wrong? Are you being attentive to what's not going well or what could potentially not go well, or do you pay attention to your body and how well it is functioning? You know, I often say when you're sick or you have a condition, whatever it might be, that's only some of your cells and that can be remedied, but give your attention to all the other. You have trillions of cells. Look at all those other cells that are working perfectly Right, in alignment, healthy and happy. So if that sounds like you, if any of those sound like you maybe they all do, and I'm not saying that we should never do any of that that's helpful here and there for a little bit until we get our clarity, but if we can form habits and what that means is if we can be attentive for a little while, until new habits are formed, instead of having the knee-jerk reaction to automatically point out what isn't going well. If you can, even little by little, catch yourself and redirect yourself to look at what's going well, that will become your new habit, which means your life will continue to improve as you move along with this, because what you're thinking about all day is like a preview of some version of what's coming or repeating in your life.

Speaker 1:

I was listening to a talk by Neville Goddard recently. He's very, very was is was very interesting, a little bit hard to listen to because of the accent and just because he's very teachy and monotony, I guess, and monotone in the way he talks, but really great stuff, you know. And he said the ability to think is your most powerful tool. Now we know that when you mix feeling with thinking, that's the ultimate power, and he talks about that sometimes as well. He says he points out the power of focused thought by saying to think effectively, you must direct your thoughts with purpose. And then he makes a really good point. He says a scattered mind achieves little. Imagine a beam of light. When diffused, it will illuminate a room, but when focused it becomes a laser capable of cutting through steel. So what a good analogy for our you know, just sort of diffused thoughts versus if we really focus our thoughts.

Speaker 1:

He says your thoughts are the same, focus them and there is nothing you cannot achieve. And we hear this said in so many different teachings over the years, especially information that's being translated from the other side, which is most likely what he was doing. But then you know, we've been conditioned, we've been taught. Well, not everything, I mean, not for me anyway, but it's been said over and over and over again your thoughts are just like that light. Diffuse them or focus them, because when we do focus, when we're paying attention, there's nothing that we cannot achieve. And I think we have to repeat that to ourselves until finally it's in our brain or somewhere that we actually will truly believe it, because we can't just logically understand it, we have to get it at our core.

Speaker 1:

So he says begin with a clear vision, close your eyes and see the life you want to live, not in the future, but see it and feel it right now, as if it's right now. It's happening, it is, it's a thing, it's here, and it feels to me when I started doing this. It feels a little, and it feels to me when I started doing this. It feels a little, you know, because I'm such a truth person and I've got reality. It's been a stumbling block for me over the years to pretend like something is real when it's not, because we have got to resonate with what it is that already exists. It just doesn't exist in our seeable, tasteable, touchable reality yet. But it is. This is what really helped me. It does already exist, so you're not thinking about something that isn't existing. You're becoming one with, or tapping into or resonating with something that does already exist somewhere in the dimensional stuff.

Speaker 1:

What Abraham calls your vibrational escrow account already exists, but you have to be in that same energy of it for it to be on this planet with you, to be seeable by you, to be touchable. He says feel it, taste it, smell it, live it in your imagination until it feels more real than the chair you're sitting on. He says thoughts become things. Whatever you consistently think about, you will experience. You know the Abraham teachings say that when you really believe something, it has no other option but to become your reality. That's just law.

Speaker 1:

And you know it doesn't really matter what gets you there, whether it's a belief in a religious figure, a belief in the science behind this, a belief because you saw somebody else experience it and now you can believe it, or because you've just talked yourself into it. It doesn't matter what gets you there. What matters is are you all in? Have you allowed yourself to be in the vibrational space of that truth long enough that it shows up? So it's not really convincing yourself, it's just consistently finding any way you can to get in that vibrational space. You know and he points out too, that it doesn't matter if the thoughts are positive or negative. He says the principle is the same. So whether we're thinking, wanted or unwanted, it doesn't matter, the principle is the same, it will show up.

Speaker 1:

The Abraham teachings say you get what you think about, whether you want it or not, and that's always always true. We get what we think about, even if it's the stuff we don't want. That's why this is so vital to whether we have a smooth journey here, a hard journey here, a happy journey, an abundant journey, a healthy journey. And Neville also said this is another really good analogy. He said thoughts are like seeds you plant, they will bear fruit. The soil doesn't discriminate, it will grow whatever you plant. And I said, yeah, that makes sense. Let's say you want apples but you're not really paying attention, you're not focused, and you just go where you keep your seeds and you grab some seeds and you put them in the ground and you walk away. And then you're so surprised and maybe even upset when you see pears have grown. We don't look at the soil and say, what did you do? We realize that we planted something without paying attention and all of creation did not say, oh, never mind, never mind, we know you wanted apples, so we will switch that out for you. We're free will creators. We can create sloppily, half-focused, or we can pay attention and intentionally pick the seeds we want and put them in the ground, which means we can think on purpose and intentionally pick the thoughts, the point of view, the beliefs that we want, because as soon as we do that, we're putting it into the vibrational dirt. So the idea there is for us to train our mind and our expectations to be more comfortable, more used to being in that right lane. And if you don't know what I mean by that, that's an analogy I used in another podcast episode. So if you want to hear more about that, go back and listen to the two-lane analogy that I did a while back. And here's a. This is a neat thing you can do. I just think this is a fun thing to do.

Speaker 1:

When you get back to your vehicle after, say, your next shopping trip, just sit there for a minute and see if you can recall more about the wanted or the liked positive aspects of that shopping little journey you were just on. Or is it easier for you to go? Well, I didn't like that and I didn't want that. And I saw, oh geez, and it was. So people were always in my way. Every time I went to get something, there was somebody out there, cart right there. Well, they didn't have enough of the holiday stuff out that I was looking for. I went to the clearance aisle. There wasn't really anything there that I wanted. You see how you can just go on and on. Is that just is? And I didn't bring my shopping list. I forgot it, but I just somehow started remembering it as I was going through the store got everything I wanted. I saw a few new things that I didn't know the store had. I was in and out pretty quick, so anything along those lines. Just play with it.

Speaker 1:

If you work, the end of your workday, do you remember more of the feel-good stuff or the not-feel-good stuff typically, because that's what I mean by the moment-to-moment stuff that really counts. I think, without realizing it, a lot of people are spending more airtime picking out, looking at, dreading every day, more often what they don't like. You know, we think thoughts about other people. We remember things from last week or last year or 10 years ago, 15 years ago, that make us cringe. Why are we doing that? We've got to let ourselves off the hook and let some things go. So observe your thoughts on purpose, saturate your mind with your dreams until they become seeable, realable, because they'll have to.

Speaker 1:

So, number two the other point that I wanted to make is you know, there is no difference, no difference between how you're resonating and what you are bringing in, what you're attracting. Same thing, it's sort of two different things, but it's part of the same process. So, how we are resonating, that means how we're vibrating. What vibrational state are we in? Because that's always going to equal we're vibrating. What vibrational state are we in? Because that's always going to equal what's available to us to have attracted, because the universe is never responding to our words. It's always, only ever responding to our moment-to-moment thoughts, our moment-to-moment perception, how we're seeing things, our beliefs, our expectations.

Speaker 1:

And a lot of that has been conditioned over the years, some of it good, some of it not, and a lot of. And a lot of that has been conditioned over the years, some of it good, some of it not, and a lot of times a lot of it not. But it doesn't mean you can't uncondition these things. You know, I've heard Deepak Chopra say before, and Wayne Dyer in the past, say you have to believe it before you'll see it. But weren't we taught when I see it, I'll believe it, because I can't believe it if I can't see it Right. I can't believe it if I haven't tasted it or touched it or experienced it somehow. And all of creation has been telling us over and over and over again for a long, long time exactly that you have to believe it, whatever it is, before you see it. And people say well, I didn't believe that was going to happen to me, or I didn't believe that my health would do this. Well, you believed some essence of that, you believed the possibility of it, or you were afraid of the possibility. Somehow you called it in. Now, that's not a blame thing. We should never blame ourselves and say, oh, I've you know, terrible me, because there's honey in everything. So what you attracted something that you don't like, look for the honey in it.

Speaker 1:

I just happened across it must have been some social media little video of this man who was in the military and I don't know the story because he was just encouraging people to trust Jesus and they're taken care of and all of that, and I'm watching him and most of his face was blown off and he was getting ready to go in for yet another reconstructive surgery. I watched him and I thought I'm sure he doesn't like this. I'm sure he doesn't like what's happened. I'm sure he doesn't like the way he looks right now. He had to cover part of his face just to be able to have conversations with people and he was hoping with this surgery it would be the last time he would have to wear that half mask kind of thing that was colored, his skin tone and everything to try to make it easier for people to look at him. And I thought so here he is Now. Who knows, in the beginning he might have just really really gone down a deep rabbit hole with it. Whether he did or not. He has found a way to be on social media and say to people it's okay, like I know I'm taken care of, I know that I'm fine and that there is a there's honey in this. He didn't use those words, but that's basically what he was saying. Like I'm paying attention to the good stuff here, I'm paying attention to how this can even help other people. So I thought that was pretty cool. So the meaning that we put on things, the way we see things, equals what shows up. You know, and that reminds me of two of the tarot cards and I'm using the ones from the Rider-Waite deck or the Universal-Waite deck same thing, just a little teeny differences between those two. The universal white duck Same thing, just a little teeny differences between those two.

Speaker 1:

It's the Five of Pentacles and the Six of Pentacles. The Five of Pentacles shows two people who are walking out in the snow. Looks like it may be nighttime. They don't have one is with like old-time crutches. They're just basically sticks under his arms. He's got bandages wrapped around one foot. The clothes are kind of old and ratty. They look poor. The woman that's with him has a drape around her. She has no shoes on and she's walking in the snow.

Speaker 1:

So you can see the struggle in this, where it just looks like they're poor and they're not having any luck because here it is really really cold and they're outside trying just struggling to get by, when right behind them you can see the stained glass window that has these five pentacles and the pentacles are about material things and it's a beautiful stained glass window. So there's this abundance and this opulence and this beauty right there. Neither one of them is looking at it and they can't see it. Even if they know it's there, it's not for them In their minds, it's not for them. All that good stuff that's there is for somebody else, because that's not their reality. So much so that, even if that's a sign from all of creation saying look over here, not only is it beautiful, but it's warm in here, even if that's what's there, they can't see it because they're so vibrationally far away from it. So it's an interesting card for the sort of the the struggle that we see in life, or in a day, in a moment, when good stuff is right there, solutions, answers, money for them to go buy shoes is right there, but they will not allow themselves to see it, because they've been so conditioned that that's not for them.

Speaker 1:

The other one is the six of pentacles. This is where there's a man who's dressed quite well and looks like he must be wealthy and he's handing crumbs out to two beggars who are down on their knees looking up with their hands out, and he's holding a balance scale with the other hand. And it is balanced. And this one is really about perception, because we can look at this card and ask so what's going on here? Like, are they needy? And he has, so he's sharing. Is he maybe contributing to their neediness? Because if he keeps handing stuff out to them, it's like that if you teach somebody how to fish, you feed them forever, but if you give them fish right, so is that what's happening? Or maybe he's been in that spot before. Maybe he can help, so he just is, maybe.

Speaker 1:

This is a really nice give and take. I need some help right now. You have some help. Let's do this. It really depends on how we look at this. We can look at this as we are needy, so you give to us since you have. We can look at this as I have things to give here. You don't, so take this, or we can look at it as, yeah, we've all been there, we've all had stuff to give, we've all had times where we needed to be given a little help, and everything that we experience in life has those different perceptions available. Depends on how you want to look at it. If you're looking for the honey or you're looking for the vinegar not that there's anything wrong with vinegar, I love vinegar but it's just a good example.

Speaker 1:

So just to kind of close up here, I ran across Abraham Hicks' quote recently where they said and I love this because I've run across it a few times here and there they say expect your every need to be met, expect the answer to every problem, expect abundance on every level, expect to grow spiritually. And this is really powerful, right here. They say you are not living by human laws. Let that sink in. We need to know that because we really have been taught that we're living by human laws. Let that sink in. We need to know that because we've really been taught that we're living by human laws. But they tell us you are not. You're not living by human laws, you're living by laws that are far beyond human laws and even human logic. You know, and Neville Goddard said you know, just give it three days.

Speaker 1:

And I've heard Abraham and some other teachings say three days is what is generally most useful for people to find the change they want, whether they want to get something out of their system, their body, whether they want to make a change in their life. Three days, he says, to focus on the more positive, the wanted things and to feel like that is already. Just take three days. Pick one thing. You can do it for multiple things here and there as you go about your day. But make it a game, make it something fun that you're doing, so you don't get all serious about it and try to do it, because when we try to do this stuff it never works out. But when we just be, we just do, then we're in the essence of it, we're in the energy of it. So put down. My suggestion would be to put down any other thing that you've been doing or trying or attempting to make your life better and let me know how it goes. Get playful about it, have fun with it. Three days, pick your three days and just do the best you can. Most often it doesn't have to be a hundred percent, just more often than not, and you'll see a tipping point and I can see it pretty quickly when I start to lose focus on this and I regain my focus on it. It's pretty quick the changes that happen. So, yeah, let me know how it goes. So that's all I have to say about that for now.

Speaker 1:

But I want to mention before I go here that you know, I think the last episode I did was a telepathy tape, which is really interesting, and it's about non-speaking, mostly autistic individuals who can read minds, basically Way more than that. But that's just one thing. But I wanted to mention Akhil said something in one of the videos. I was watching the videos online and in one and actually Deepak Chopra was in this one Akhil was showing them something. He was typing, they were doing these little tests, whatever, and I think it was Deepak said to him like how do you know what your mother is thinking, like, how do you know what's on her mind? Or typed it or said it.

Speaker 1:

Whatever he said, my mind knows how to show my mom's mind and I thought, oh, that got brushed over really quick. That's a, that's something. There's something to that. There's something there to unravel. My mind knows how to show my mom's mind. In other words, I think he's saying my mind knows or can not read my mom's mind, not get into my mother's mind, but to show her mind, so maybe show what she's thinking. Food for thought. I just think that's really interesting and I just been thinking about it here and there because I thought, wow, that just got blown right over. But I think there's something to that. So if you have thoughts about that, let me know, so you can find me and everything that I'm up to at mysticaltruthscom.
