🎙️ Where’s the Honey? — A New Focus

After an eight-month pause, this podcast is returning with a new name, a new direction, and a deeper sense of alignment.

In this comeback episode, I share why Mystical Truths has become Where’s the Honey?—and the powerful question that has completely changed the way I move through life:

Where’s the honey in this?

Because life isn’t always sweet. Sometimes it’s confusing, painful, overwhelming, or deeply uncertain. And in those moments, it’s easy to focus on what’s wrong, what’s missing, or why things are happening the way they are.

But what if there’s something here for you, too?

This episode explores:

  • What “the honey” really means
  • Why we often miss the hidden good in difficult experiences
  • The difference between forced positivity and genuine perspective shifts
  • How learning to see differently can change everything

This isn’t about pretending hard things are easy.

It’s about uncovering the meaning, growth, clarity, or truth that may be quietly waiting underneath the surface.

If you’ve been feeling stuck, lost, emotionally heavy, or unsure what your experiences are trying to show you… this is your invitation to begin looking differently.

Because there is honey in everything.

Even if you can’t see it yet.

Welcome Back And A New Focus

Rebecca

Well, it's been a while. If you've been here before, welcome back. I appreciate all of you around the globe. And if you're new, this is a fresh point of focus. Thank you for being here as well. I'm excited and I'm curious about where this change will take us. After three fun years, I took a break from the podcast- for about eight months. And I really don't have words to describe why, except that my personal guidance has been shifting over the past few years. Some things are changing. So I was guided to just be, to just listen to life, meaning people, my intuition, what's going on in the world and out of the world. Not - talk about it, just listen. And what I've been hearing is a lot of wonderful guidance streaming from non-physical and a lot of negativity spewing from many people here. What a time we're in. It's a kind of a head shaking time, but it has so much good at its core. And that is where I think our attention needs to be for our good and for the greater good.

Look For Honey Not Vinegar

Rebecca

- So the highlight became what I've found myself repeating to people over the years, especially over the past five or so years, look for the honey in literally everything. Stop looking at what you think is bad. The unwanted and the unliked are not bad. They're useful. A lotta years ago, my aunt, my great aunt, Margaret, would say, you catch more bees with honey than you do with vinegar. And that stuck with me. . I thought it was odd because vinegar has many uses. It's good, but it is bitter. So I knew not to take it literally. It means you get more of whatever you put out. If you want more of 'what makes more honey', put out your sweet stuff and you'll get more. Put out your bitter, and you'll get more bitter. So that's true. But you see, there's a little drop of honey in that saying because, like vinegar, 'bitter/ unwanted/ unliked', has potential. It is useful. If we know how to look at it, where to find it, the unwanted has potential. The unliked has some good stuff in there, it has some useful stuff in there. And not to get off topic, but my great aunt would also say, the hurrier I go, the behinder I get. So just some food for thought.

Why The Show Is Changing

Rebecca

This podcast was formerly titled Mystical Truths, after a website I've had for many years, which just recognizes that life has many mystical, not so obvious, truths. And you know, it's funny that, speaking of sweet stuff, this podcast continued to do fairly well over the past eight or so months without any new episodes. So thank you all very much for that. There's no team or profit here, it's just me and a mic. And I'm just sharing what I've learned and what I feel works for me, and what I feel works, or is useful, for all of us. So I've been shown over these past months that the versions of truths that we now can see are really vast, so much so that people are or nearly are overwhelmed by it all. But there's honey in that. Because in that, we all are being led to our own truths. . I'll have more on that as we go forward. So, although I've been pointing out the honey all along, this space is now specifically focusing on how to find it in the hard times, in the unwelcome times or people or events. So, welcome to 'Where's the Honey?' The question, Where's the honey?, has become central to how I move through life and how I help others move through theirs. And by honey, I mean the sweet stuff, the helpful, you've probably figured that out by now. The helpful stuff that isn't so obvious. Because we know life isn't always sweet. We all know life can be great, fun, happy, but it also can be overwhelming, disappointing, depressing, just really hard. It's the stuff of life, as I like to call it. Just the stuff of life. That's all it is. It's the stuff of life. What we do with it makes all the difference. And when that "stuff" is any of the unwanted things, it's really easy to focus on what we think is wrong or missing or shouldn't have happened.

When Overthinking Blocks The Flow

Rebecca

What WE think, decide, figure. I learned that when I was just a kid. My father and I were having, sort of, an argument, and I said, "Dad, I just figured..." And he looked down at me and he said, "You know, Rebecca, that's your problem. You figure too much." It literally felt like time stopped for a few seconds, as if life was saying to me, remember that it's important. I don't even know if I replied back to him. I was just, it meant something, and he was right. I was learning how to figure my way through life. I don't even know if he realized it had that kind of an impact. Because we all channel -often when we don't even know we are. So, we think that something isn't working out for us, and then we get right in the way of the divine order of things, the synchronistic flow of life, and derail. Because we can. We're free will creators, we are that free. We can decide that we know better than the intelligence that has created and is creating everything. We can decide this is something not working out in my favor. And then, oddly enough, we defend that decision until we see proof of it not working out. But that's okay. ...part of why we're here. So life has taught me that there is something good in every single experience, something meaningful, valuable, something I call the honey. And I don't mean like in a forced, everything is positive kind of way, but in a real, grounded, sometimes quiet, introspective way. Because there have been many times in my life where I couldn't see it, where things felt heavy or unclear, frustrating. It still happens. And only later, sometimes will I, or did I, realize there was something really helpful there. So eventually I understood if we're not going to be beat up by this life here, we have to find the benefit IN the moment, or at least as soon as we can. I'm not immune to the challenges. None of us are. They are one of the reasons we incarnated. It's how we navigate them that makes the difference. So that's what this space is about now.

A Gentle Method For Hard Moments

Rebecca

Each episode, we'll explore real life experiences, feeling stuck, uncertainty, letting go of people or even past loved ones, your own self-judgment, depression, stress, fear, fear, fear, fear. There's a lot of that today. So we'll look at those, but then we'll quickly and gently shift the way we're looking at them. Because we're only going to look at the unwanted briefly, lightly, because the problem and its honey live in totally different places. If you're looking at the problem, you can't really see the honey. You've got to shift a little. I'll encourage you to stay in the vinegar only long enough to find some clarity so that you can head right in the direction of your honey. And we're not looking to fix everything, nothing is actually broken. It's all data. We're looking to see things differently, to see through the muck and mire. It's here, it's part of the intended variety of this physical life. And it's also a great teacher, by the way. So if you've been in a place where things don't feel the way you want them to, or if you've been asking yourself, "Why is this happening?" Or "WHY is this happening!?!" I want to offer you a different question. Where's the honey in it? You can only see it if you make yourself available to it. And you don't have to find it all. You definitely don't have to force it. You don't want to force it. Just be as playfully curious as you can. Playfully curious. Sniff around it. Even a small shift, even a tiny drop is enough to begin. I'm really glad you're here. And I'm excited to step into this journey with you because... there is honey in absolutely everything, even if you can't see it yet. We'll find it. Let's find as much of it as we can. Let's find yours. And by the way, this isn't just for you and me. This is for the world. Because just like looking for your honey helps you, looking for the broader honey helps the entire world. ...and this interesting shift that we're all experiencing across the globe.
