Through intuitive insight, real-life perspective, and honest reflection, each episode helps you shift how you see your experiences—so you can uncover the “honey” that might not be obvious at first.
This isn’t about pretending things are positive. It’s about learning how to see differently.
If you’ve ever felt stuck, overwhelmed, or asked yourself, “Why is this happening?”—this podcast offers a new question:
Where’s the honey in this?
Because even in the middle of confusion, frustration, or change… there is something here for you.
You don’t have to find all of it. Even a small shift is enough to begin.
There is honey in everything. Let’s find yours.

🍯 When Nothing Feels Good
What do you do when nothing feels good?
Not even necessarily terrible or bad.
Just… heavy. Flat. Numb. Disconnected.
The kind of feeling that’s hard to explain—and seems even harder to move through.
In this episode of Where’s the Honey?, we explore those quiet emotional seasons where joy feels distant, motivation disappears, and even the things that are supposed to help don’t seem to reach you.
Instead of forcing positivity or trying to “fix” yourself, this episode offers a gentler perspective:
What if this feeling isn’t meaningless? Or bad?
What if there’s honey here too?
Inside this episode:
- Why emotional numbness becomes a thing
- The hidden value behind feeling “nothing”
- How to stop fighting yourself in times that feel hard
- A softer way to begin feeling relief again
You don’t have to feel great right away.
You don’t even need all the answers.
Sometimes the honey is simply finding one small moment that feels a little less heavy than the one before.
That’s enough to begin. Here's how.

When Nothing Feels Good
RebeccaI thought with this first episode where we get specific, let's just dive right in and go deep. Where's the honey when nothing feels good? When everything feels heavy, flat, numb. In one area of life or completely across the board. I've been there. I have been there. And not necessarily bad, even, just nothing. When you're emotionally, mentally, physically exhausted, tapped, drained. And I know this seems like a really hard time, but some of the best honey is in there. And I believe this happens more than people admit. Most just don't broadcast it. It makes sense. But this does not mean, when you're in a time like this, something is wrong with you. Because there is no wrong. There is just what's here right now and what I choose to do with it.
Stop Swimming Against The Current
RebeccaSo let's get right to the honey shift. When you're feeling nothing, numb. Ah, nice. Good. Because there's a flow to life that's like a stream of ease. It's always flowing in your favor. And up to this point, in this case, you've been swimming upstream in the opposite direction of that flow of ease. If you're completely tapped, this is actually a really good thing. You've stopped going against your own flow. You're not yet allowing the stream of life to carry you. But the relief is you just stopped going against the current. You kind of had to, right? It's like being so exhausted in the stream that you flop onto the nearest rock and just zone out. Perfect. Do that. Even this has purpose. There's nothing to fix. You're not broken. Gently sit with it. Don't condemn the state that you're in. Like I said, it's not wrong, and it is temporary. Just be. Because tapping out has immense value. Think about it. You can't redirect until you stop going in the direction you are going. Which was obviously hard. It's like you're on pause. So pause. Admit to yourself, yes, I am numb, depleted, I'm exhausted. Right now, just for now. Do we have to get to the point where it's that extreme to be able to redirect? No. But we can be pretty determined to struggle, even when we don't realize it. We can stubbornly fight the current until we can't. There's the relief. And we weren't really built to be up all the time anyway. Not in this massive world of variety and contrasting energies. There's a wonderful reason for that. We'll get to that in another episode.
Neutral Is The First Win
RebeccaBut if you want to move past this, don't force feeling better. Just being aware counts. It's a true starting point. Look for neutral instead of good or bad. Just be. Be in that in-between place. Slightly lighter, not happy, not yet, too soon for that. What feels one percent lighter? Can you at least admit this nothingness feels better than the struggle? That numbness feels better than pain. And there it is, you're out. You're out of complete despair. Not far out, but you're still out. You just found one drop of honey. So you can no longer say nothing feels good. Or I'm numb. You just felt a bit of relief. That's it. Good enough for now. Be easy about this, be easy on you. Oops, there's another little drop. A little more relief. Which means one moment at a time, you're closer to hopping back into that stream. And maybe, just maybe, letting it carry you in its steady, smooth flow. Maybe could be. And it will be. But for now, let that rock hold you a while. Let that rock hold you while you find one more drop. Because each drop gets a little bigger, a little sweeter, no rush. And at first, those drops don't even seem like much. They seem like something very close to numb or exhausted, but a teeny bit better. And you're doing very well, even if you don't think you are. Everything is temporary. And if you get back into that stream and you give the paddle upstream approach another try, that's fine. Go. You'll end up on another rock. No worries. Do this however it suits you. You're not doing life wrong. You're free. You're free to flow, you're free to struggle. There's honey in both, but one feels better and is ease -ier. Easier. It's not necessarily easy, but it's full of ease. And I've beached on many rocks. And I now know that's where wisdom is. Wisdom is in a lot of places. And that's one of them. Eventually, though, you get out, you kind of just get over the pattern of swim against the stream of life. Flop onto a rock. Be numb. Be tapped. Rest. Jump back in. Swim up against the current again. Flop in onto a rock. Eventually, you just let go of the struggle. You have to. You just sorta gotta. There's nothing left but to just let go and trust that life will carry you. You've tried every other avenue that you can think of. You're you've tapped them all, tapped yourself. Perfect. Finally. Now just be. And when you're ready, pay attention. Just pay attention. Just be aware of the guidance around you that's in the stream. It's in the flow of life. You'll get a whiff of it here and there. And then a little more and a little more.
A Client’s Grief And Relief
RebeccaI know that there are times when we are numb across the entire platform of our lives. But I'd like to share an example of how one of my clients was completely devastated by just one part of her life. She had a rescue dog who was peculiar and quirky, and she loved him so much, she'd had him for quite a while. He was like a child to her and her husband. Eventually, out of nowhere, he developed severe back pain. After meds, procedures, surgery, and nearly $20,000 over the course of just a couple weeks, her sweet dog left this physical experience anyway. She called me and she said, I kept thinking, oh , Rebecca, where the F is the honey in this? She was tapped. And she kept feeling like she just did not do enough to save her dear friend. We found lots of honey in that experience. And she found the sweetness of relief. So when you're in a state of being where just nothing feels good, you don't think you want joy right now. Just pause. Sniff around the situation a little bit. Just be playfully curious if you can, or when you can get there. Sniff out a little bit of relief, a little less heaviness. It's there. You'll see it. Or we can even find it together.
A Quote For The Hard Days
RebeccaOn the HoneyinEverything.com website, which is the website for this podcast. I have an image with this quote that I'm about to read you by Mary Funk. When tears come, I breathe deeply and rest. I know I'm swimming in a hallowed stream where many have gone before. I'm not alone, crazy, or having a nervous breakdown. My heart is at work, my soul is awake. So this journey of life that we're all on is a lot about perspective -through the eyes of fear or through the eyes of infinite intelligence. That part of us that a lot of people call God. And you can just start with that one question. Where is the honey in this moment, this person, this experience? If you want to.
Where Is The Honey Right Now
RebeccaSo I hope you're enjoying this. Please let me know. Or share this with someone you feel is in a state where nothing feels good, where nothing feels like it's working. So until next time, I'll leave you with this. If you're not feeling good, you're not seeing yourself through the eyes of the infinite intelligence that loves you unconditionally, always, no matter what.
